Gray, Cold Sky
The brim of his hat is dusted with snowflakes, he shakes it out on the stoop. Birds sail past, their song catching the wind. The dull crunch of children's boots, leaving trails in the day-muddied snow. A stillness to the air chills him to his bones, entities gone brittle with age. Clomping his shoes on the mat, his flings open the door, greeted by a welcome one can only expect from a respite from such chill.
Green Apple Lips
Green apple lips. Tart to taste, words flow sweet and sour. Pucker, darling. I like the apple, but I also like the orchard. |

Orion's Belt
Orion's Belt: Three crisp dots visible even through the city's smog. My heart rends for Orion, for his sense of duty must be so to outweigh Atlas'. What else would hold up the sky? |

Two new poems that I just wrote. I usually never post poems that have just been written because I can never tell if they are good or not, but I am in a weird mood tonight.

I.
You won’t see yourself in this. I refuse to let you see the whisper of an echo in a cavern in the distance through the wrong end of a telescope trivial, miniscule, glimpse of you. You’ll leave today without a clue. Your eyes with their probing searching lovely deep-set gaze will remain figuratively shut. Your voice with its laughing sensual honeyed timbre will continue to run unchecked. You will never decipher my code as my words are cloaked in mystery, and the next time you hold me I can continue to consume your soul. |

I am now going to post a massive amount of poetry. If I've ever shown you my poetry, you've probably already seen them. So don't bother. Again, it is for me. Especially since if my computer ever crashed I don't have them backed up. And that would be tragic.
( The Older Stuff )
Whew. I feel the need to light a cigarette after that post.
Was it good for you too? |

Hey, this is just Stephanie, and from now on I am going to post poetry to this journal. It is mostly for myself, to keep track of them and whatnot. |
